First: Call 999 (MERS)

In any life-threatening emergency — chest pain, severe injury, unconscious person, difficulty breathing — your first call is 999. This is Malaysia's unified emergency hotline, operated by the Malaysian Emergency Response Service (MERS 999). It connects you to ambulance, fire rescue, police, and civil defence from a single number.

Hospital Sultanah Aminah — Public (Government) Hospital

For non-critical emergencies or if cost is a concern, Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) is Johor's largest government hospital and the main public emergency facility in JB city centre.

GP Clinics — For Minor, Non-Emergency Issues

For fever, mild infection, diarrhoea, minor cuts, sore throat, or a prescription refill, a GP (general practitioner) clinic is faster and cheaper than any hospital emergency department. Every neighbourhood in JB has multiple GP clinics.
